Beautiful Easter Flower Display in Sin City
Have you ever been on a vacation where there was such a dichotomy that you had to stop and wonder what you were doing? One such past vacation for me was spending Holy Week in Sin City. This trip happened to coincide with a few days off from work and the Easter holiday. A trip to Las Vegas consists of gambling, watching a few shows and enjoying some sightseeing along the strip. But, since this was the Easter holiday I wanted to do something special that I could detach from where I was visiting. Don’t get me wrong I did all the other things too but, on Easter Sunday I spent it walking around the Bellagio Conservatory & Botanical Garden. The Bellagio changes their floral display each season and each one has so much detail going on that you could spend a lot of time here. The exhibit I saw had the flowers artfully designed to represent tools in the garden and the animals you might see outdoors.
The floral scent assaults your senses once you walk in. Tulips, Lilies, Hydrangeas, and Roses, were everywhere, from the lobby all the way into the garden.
The other part that I enjoyed was the butterfly exhibit. There were realistic looking butterflies in the air hanging from the ceiling and tons of real butterflies in a transparent, glass shed that were fluttering around flowers and garden tools.
I enjoyed the little slice of heaven I found here in the midst of slot machines and bright lights. It was nice to relax and enjoy the colorful flowers and butterflies. Plus, it allowed me to reflect on the day.
Where are you enjoying your Easter this year?
Home, cooking a ham dinner. Have fun it sure does look beautiful.
