2018 Travel Plans – World Traveler Here I Come!

Pier at Myrtle Beach - 2018 Travel Plans - World Traveler Here I Come!

I am so excited that I finally have my travel plans for 2018 confirmed. You will be so surprised at where I am planning on visiting this year. With my new job, I have been able to achieve more work-life balance or at least try to and have time to do more of what I love. TRAVEL! So here I go…

Pier at Myrtle Beach - 2018 Travel Plans - World Traveler Here I Come!

Tulip Time Festival

The first trip on the docket is heading to Holland, Michigan for the Tulip Time Festival. I’m taking my youngest niece, Madison with me. She’s excited to see all the flowers and take pictures with me. But, most of all I think she is excited to fly up to spend the weekend with her Aunt Heather. You can see my previous posts on this beautiful festival – TipToe through the Tulips and Parade of Tulips.

Myrtle Beach

Pier at Myrtle Beach - 2018 Travel Plans - World Traveler Here I Come!I’m heading back to Myrtle Beach with Kayla again. This is turning out to be one of my favorite relaxing places to visit. Nothing beats sitting on a beach listening to the waves crash in a while getting a suntan. Plus, we might even take a road trip to Charleston for a day.

Memphis

I was fortunate to be chosen as one of only 20 travel bloggers to be invited to #BloghouseMemphis this year. Bloghouse is an “all-inclusive three-day and night opportunity to live, work, and learn in a small group environment with both experienced and newer bloggers.” I will be able to experience all the sights and history of Memphis and get mentored to become a better travel blogger. I haven’t figured out yet all that I’m going to visit but, so far my plans include visiting the National Civil Rights Museum and enjoy listening to some Blues, Soul, and Rock & Roll while I’m there. Plus, I’m staying at the Peabody Hotel so, I will be able to watch the Duck Parade.

Ostrava, Czech Republic

TBEX Europe 2018 Ostrava - 2018 Travel Plans - World Traveler Here I Come!

I’m heading back to Europe to TBEX 2018, and this time it is in Ostrava, Czech Republic. For those who don’t know where this is, it is about a 3-hour train ride from Prague. I’m excited to see another part of Europe that I have never seen before. I’m even trying to learn Czech. Although I don’t know how well I’ll be able to speak it since I’ve never been able to roll my r’s but, I will give it my best shot.

Tanzania, Africa

Tanzania Photography Expedition - 2018 Travel Plans - World Traveler Here I Come!Yes, you saw that right. I’m heading to Africa for my first safari trip. Also, I’m hoping to be photographing the big five (lion, elephant, buffalo, leopard, and rhinoceros) in their natural habitats. I’m going with the same group (Great Escape Publishing) that set up my Northern Lights Alaska trip last year and I have no doubt that this will be a great tour like my previous one. I will be celebrating Thanksgiving on the Serengeti. I can’t wait to see what photos I will be able to shoot. To say I’m excited is an understatement and there is a little apprehension too. But, I’m sure that when I get all my plans settled I’ll be raring to go.

I can’t wait to share my adventures with you this year. If you want to follow my exploits go ahead and subscribe so, you won’t miss a thing.
