Tanzania Safari – Part 3: Acacia Farm Lodge

Acacia Farm Lodge Pool

Acacia Farm Lodge is a surprising find situated on a working farm in the picturesque agricultural district of Karatu between Tarangire & Ngorongoro Crater. We were treated to a delicious family-style lunch outside with fresh organic produce gathered directly from their farm. They have a total of 32 contemporary chalets that you can reserve with all the modern amenities and private balconies that open up onto impressive vistas. Acacia Farm Lodge Back View

Acacia Farm LodgePulling up to the lodge in our jeeps after a long morning game drive, we were dirty, tired and hungry. The Acacia Farm Lodge was ready for us, greeting us with fresh towels to wipe the grime from our faces and hands. We were also offered Welcome drinks. Each lodge we stopped at offered us the welcome drinks, but they were all different flavors and every one of them was very refreshing!Acacia Farm Lodge Welcome Drinks The Acacia Farm Lodge lobby is light and airy with open views to the outside and a wonderful seating area to gather after your day to talk about all you saw. Acacia Farm Lodge Lobby

Family-Style Lunch

Acacia Farm Lodge Lunch Family StyleThe staff set up a beautiful table for us to enjoy our gourmet lunch outside in one of their open areas. Red flowers from their gardens decorated our table. I didn’t get a picture of our menu because the chef came out to introduce the meal in person. Here are some photos of the soup, chicken, pasta, vegetables, and dessert that were so tasty!

Acacia Farm Lodge has quite a few amenities for you to enjoy. The one I was excited to see was the huge swimming pool. Among the other amenities, there is a lounge and a small, cozy bar, full dining room and a coffee shop. Across the yard is a curio shop, with the swimming pool and its bar area behind it, as well as a  gym and a refreshing spa. Also, there is a business center and a forty seater conference room if needed.Acacia Farm Lodge Restaurant Acacia Farm Lodge Spa
