Dinosaur Farm – Weird Roadside Attraction
Driving along highway I-94 we see a sign “Donuts & Dinosaurs.” What? A Dinosaur Farm located right off the road, and you can get donuts, too! We have to stop! Kayla tells me as we drive home from visiting family over the Thanksgiving weekend.
Dinosaurs Ready for the Holidays
Pulling off at the Coloma exit, it was immediately on the left. Metal sculptures shaped like dinosaurs are spaced all around Dinosaur Farm. We quickly recognized most of the dinosaurs but, there were a few that were a bit obscure. All of them though were dressed to impress for the Christmas holiday season.
Go ahead and freely walk around the dinosaur sculpture garden and take selfies with them. The weather was a bit chilly but, we didn’t mind it. We were glad to roam the farm after being in the car for 5+ hours. What a unique place in the middle of nowhere.
Need a break to stretch your legs?
This road-side attraction is a great quick on and off stop from I-94 on your road trip through the southwest part of Michigan. Stop in to walk around Dinosaur Farm, stretch your legs and grab a donut for the road. I wonder if the dinosaurs get dressed up for all the holidays or are these just for Christmas. I might have to stop again the next time I drive by the Coloma exit.
If you are interested in other weird roadside attractions, this great coloring book for kids has some you might like to visit on your road trips this year.
Just passed it on 94. Thanks for your remarks
Were you able to stop in and see it?
