Acacia Farm Lodge is a surprising find situated on a working farm in the picturesque agricultural district of Karatu between Tarangire & Ngorongoro Crater. We were treated to a delicious family-style lunch outside with fresh organic produce gathered directly from their farm. They have a total of 32 contemporary chalets that you can reserve with all the modern amenities and private balconies that open up onto impressive vistas.

Amenities
Acacia Farm Lodge has quite a few amenities for you to enjoy. The one I was excited to see was the huge swimming pool. Among the other amenities, there is a lounge and a small, cozy bar, full dining room and a coffee shop. Across the yard is a curio shop, with the swimming pool and its bar area behind it, as well as a gym and a refreshing spa. Also, there is a business center and a forty seater conference room if needed.
Activities
Some of the activities available for the guests include:
- Farm Tours – opportunity to sample Tanzania’s rural life by visiting this active farm
- Karatu Tours
- Cultural Experiences – opportunity to understand the way of life as experienced by the local tribes
- Game Drives
- Nature Walks – in the surrounding forest area or into Karatu
