At a chill 54 degrees Fahrenheit, the Ohio Caverns is one of the most colorful and jaw-dropping caverns I’ve been to.
The staff is knowledgeable of rock formation, the history of the caverns, and much more! They offer two different tours, a Historic Tour and a Natural Wonder Tour. We had the privileged to embark on the Natural Wonder Tour which took us 103ft underneath the ground.
The trip took about an hour, and it was approximately a mile to get through it; because of how interactive the tour guides were, this is a super kid-friendly experience that combines fun with education. I had a blast going through the caverns, but keep in mind that in May and June, schools take field trips to the caverns so you might end up going with a group of 20 kids!
