Staying in the Lap of Luxury at Sheen Falls Lodge

Are you looking for a romantic getaway? Or are you looking for a luxurious Irish vacation? Sheen Falls Lodge should be your choice. It is a beautiful 5-star resort hotel located right next to Sheen River and Sheen Falls and is probably the most picturesque hotel I have seen anywhere. Come and experience staying in the Lap of Luxury at Sheen Falls Lodge in Kenmare, Ireland.

Views at Sheen Fall Lodge

This gorgeous hotel is less than a mile and a half from the town of Kenmare. Rooms, suites or villas can either have views of Sheen River or Kenmare Bay. Personally, I choose the side with the Sheen River and the amazing waterfalls. The Sheen Falls Lodge used to be a fishing lodge before it was converted into this elegant resort hotel. There are 68 rooms and suites to choose to stay in. Some suites have living room areas, and others have kitchens, fireplaces, and jacuzzis. All to help you relax in this natural landscape.

Dining at Sheen Falls Lodge

The choices for dining at Sheen Falls Lodge all offer fresh local produce. The Falls restaurant is a 2 AA Rosette restaurant for elegant dining with a menu that changes nightly. The infamous three-tier afternoon tea in the Sun Lounge is delicious with fantastic finger sandwiches and fabulous dessert choices. The Sun Lounge is also open all day for light snacks. There is even a Cocktail Bar for adult refreshments.

Sheen Falls Lodge Activities

Sheen Falls Lodge is equipped with an indoor pool and tennis court. They also have several adventure packages you can sign up to do.  You can learn to Fly Fish, have a hands-on experience with hawks, go clay pigeon shooting, horse riding, play golf, kayaking, and even ride bikes through the Irish countryside. They also have Photography excursions that you can sign up for full and half-day adventures. Another activity you can sign up for is the wine tasting course. Learn all about wine and how to pair it with your food. So many choices for you to spend your time here on. 

Villas – Marianne’s Cottage

This two-bedroom thatched cottage is available to rent along with other private villas if you so choose. I was able to walk around Marianne’s Cottage and take some photos. And let me say this is the cutest little cottage. Although not so small, it even has a sun porch where you can eat your breakfast while looking out at Kenmare Bay. If you were looking to rent a villa for a wedding this one would be a perfect venue!
