The Royal Park Hotel Gingerbread House – Creating Christmas Masterpieces

The Royal Park Hotel in Rochester, Michigan, used to create a massive gingerbread house for the holiday season. And one of my favorite holiday traditions was to photograph the Royal Park Hotel Gingerbread House creation every holiday. It is always a treat to walk into this luxury hotel and see what they have created for the holidays, and they never disappoint! This year, 2023, they have created a winter wonderland in the lobby. Even though it isn’t a giant gingerbread creation, it is still holiday memorable.

Gingerbread Creations

Royal Park Hotel unveils the gingerbread masterpiece in late November to tie it in with Rochester’s Big Bright Light Show. And until early January, the lobby is home to the Royal Park Hotel Gingerbread House/Train/Forest (whatever the creation is) throughout the holidays. They encourage guests and visitors to stop into the lobby to see and photograph the gingerbread masterpieces or this year’s winter wonderland, even if you aren’t staying overnight. If you do stay at the hotel, you can reserve one of two holiday-themed suites: Maker’s Mark Merry & Bright Buddy The Elf Themed Suite and Winter Wonderland Frozen Themed Suite.

Each year is a different theme, made with over 200 pounds of candy. You will want to keep coming back year after year to see what amazing design they came up with next. This display is one gingerbread house for the picture books.
