Soaring Eagle Waterpark and Hotel Review

I recently stayed at the Soaring Eagle Waterpark and Hotel while I was visiting my niece atCentral Michigan University.

This hotel was very convenient to CMU.  We were very excited to spend some time together and play in the waterpark.  First impressions: crazy busy with kids running all over the place.  I guess I shouldn’t be surprised since it is a child-friendly hotel with a waterpark.  It also happened to coincide a big kid event at the University that weekend.IMG_4088

Even with all the noise, we were excited to wear our suits and head into the waterpark area.  It did not disappoint us! The water slides were fast and exciting.  One slide was a double/single rider with an inner tube, and the other was a single rider tubeless.  They both funnel out directly into the lazy river.   Compared to other lazy rivers that I have been on this was not lazy.  The current was pretty fast.  It didn’t take much to take you around the river.  The other neat things in the waterpark are the surf/boogie board waves, the rock wall, and the lovely hot tub.  Of course, the water fountain play area and the kid pool are the highlights for the younger set.Soaring Eagle waterpark fun

When you are tired and waterlogged, there is a shuttle service to the other Soaring Eagle hotel and casino and back.  We took advantage of this and headed over there for the buffet, which was fabulous.  After dinner, we tried our hand at the casino.

I wouldn’t recommend this for a quiet stopover but, if you are planning on taking part of this hotel/waterpark’s amenities than I would highly recommend it.

Would love to hear comments from you and if you have any other hotel suggestions that I should try out in the future.

I would love to hear from you...
