One of the hidden gems in the Metro-Detroit Area is the Walter P. Chrysler Museum. For car enthusiasts, this is a definite must-see. The problem is that time is running out to see all the vehicles inside this museum.

Chrysler Museum Lobby

The museum was closed for a few years and recently just reopened to the public. Unfortunately, it will be closing again permanently on December 18. There are a couple more weekends left that the museum will be open.

Anyone interested in Antique Cars?

When you walk into the lobby, you see a giant rotating structure that has several unusual Chrysler vehicles on it. There are also several floors that showcase Chrysler vehicles through the years. Kids will enjoy the interactive displays among the vehicles.

Car Photographer’s Dream

The interesting details that are on these vehicles shape a lot of the design of cars today. There is so much to look at and admire, you could easily spend a couple of hours going through all the exhibits.

Can’t forget about the Sport’s Cars!

My nephew’s favorite area was the sport’s cars. Fast, sleek vehicles in your favorite colors, Red, British Racing Green and Bright Yellow are set up for you to admire to your heart’s content. In the basement, they even set up a racetrack with amazing cars lined up around it.

I hope that my photos give you a little idea of all the interesting cars that are in the Chrysler Museum. The two weekends left for you to see all of these and more are Nov. 19-20 and Dec. 17-18. Open hours are from 10am to 4pm. The Chrysler Museum is located at 1 Chrysler Dr in Auburn Hills. Admission fees are $10 for adults, $6 for kids between 6-17, and kids under 5 are free.

Let me know if you go, I would love to hear about your experience!
